GUIDELINES  FOR  HANDLING  CHEMICALS

ALWAYS STORE CHEMICALS IN THEIR ORIGINAL LABELLED CONTAINERS

    IN A COOL AND DRY ENVIRONMENT.

 

2.

 CONTAINERS OPENED SHOULD BE RE-SEALED TIGHTLY AND KEPT OUT OF   

    REACH OF CHILDREN.

 

3.

ANY SPILLAGES SHOULD BE MOPPED UP OR CONTAINED WITH SAND   

    BEFORE DISPOSAL IN A SUITABLE PLASTIC CONTAINER.

 

4.

ALWAYS USE GLOVES AND WEAR SUITABLE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING 

    WHEN USING ANY TYPE OF CHEMICAL TO AVOID IRRITATION.

 

5.

SHOULD CHEMICALS COME IN CONTACT WITH EITHER SKIN OR EYES

    WASH OFF WITH PLENTY OF CLEAN WATER AND IN THE CASE OF EYES

    SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE.

 

6.

 IF A SPECIFIC CHEMICAL HAS BEEN INHAILED OR INJESTED CONSULT THE

    C.O.S.H. INFORMATION, FOR THAT CHEMICAL, TO ENSURE THE CORRECT

    PROCEDURES ARE FOLLOWED.

 

7.

 NEVER EXPOSE CHEMICALS TO NAKED FLAMES OR EXTREME HEAT. IN

    CASE OF FIRE EXTINGUISH WITH C02 OR FOAM FIRE FIGHTING

    EQUIPMENT.
